The
Art of Reiki
Reiki is an ancient healing method which was rediscovered in
Japan in the 19th century. The wisdom Reiki is based on dates
back more than 4000 years. Reiki, when translated, means Universal
Life Force Energy. This energy exists in all things. We are
often unable to replenish or revitalize our energy which becomes
depleted by everyday stresses, illnesses, or injury.
Reiki renews, balances and cleanses our Internal Energy System.
This raises our quality of energy to the healthiest level our
minds, bodies, and environments will allow.
The Reiki Practitioner acts as a conduit, channeling energy
from the universe, through the hands, to the client. Reiki is
said to be "spirit guided" or "intelligent"
energy. The client will take and use only as much of the energy
as they need, or can use, in any one session.
The energy, being intelligent, will go to the area of the mind,
body, or spirit where it is most needed at the time. It is the
wisdom of the Universal Life Force Energy, and the need of the
client, that guides how and where the energy is used, not the
practitioner.
It is not possible to predict how Reiki will benefit any one
individual. Reiki works differently in all of us, but will always
meet our needs. To make sure you, or your animal, are as comfortable
and at ease as possible, Reiki sessions take place in your home.
